Michigan By Vita G. Michigan is a very exciting place to visit. As soon as you see it you will want to stay forever!
When going to Michigan, be ready for cold weather! Michigan is bordered by four great lakes, but, not many people swim in the lakes during winter. The lakes are cold so leave your swimsuit for your trip to Hawaii!Michigan has two peninsulas. The lower peninsula looks like a big mitten. It is very cold there so you may need to bring your mittens. The upper peninsula sticks out from Wisconsin. On both peninsulas you get close to the arctic so bring a heavy coat. You’ve got your coat on, your suitcase is packed you’re ready to go!
Michigan is a great place for activities. In Detroit, there is the famous renaissance center which is a group of buildings. The renaissance center is known for its tall hotels with great room service. On the upper peninsula is Isle Royale. Isle Royale is a great place for skiing. They have some fabulous resorts. Have fun on the slopes and enjoy your food!
Michigan is home to one of America’s favorite drinks and one of America’s favorite presidents. Michigan’s ginger ale is best on earth. Ginger ale is a sweet, gingery, soda that is found in many restaurants around America. In Detroit, James Vernor invented ginger ale in 1866. Four years earlier he had locked the ale in a wooden case and was surprised to find it had turned a gingery flavor. Gerald Ford grew up in Michigan. Gerald Ford became the 38th president of America. He is a great part of Michigan history. Whether you’re drinking ginger ale or reading about Gerald Ford, you can have fun doing it in Michigan. Enjoy!
You know what to pack, you know where to go, you know the facts, enjoy your trip!
